Who We Are

Cooperative Portland is for people interested in co-ops and workplace democracies in the Portland metro area.

Benefits: to get together and talk with other people in cooperatives for perspectives, and help each other out.

Participating organizations:


Collective Agency. Coworking spaces with cozy community. “Cozy working alongside people doing what they’re passionate about and committed to, where 80% of people say hi. Come and work here!” We have two locations in Portland Oregon and each location is a workplace democracy.


People’s Food Co-op. We cultivate strong relationships with the food we eat, the people who produce it, and the friends we share it with. Portland, Oregon. Member-owned cooperative with collective management.


Equal Exchange logoEqual Exchange distributes organic gourmet coffee, tea, sugar, bananas, avocados, cocoa, and chocolate bars produced by farmer cooperatives in Latin America, Africa and Asia. We have an office in Portland and are a for-profit Fairtrade worker-owned cooperative.


Alberta Food Co-Op logoAlberta Cooperative Grocery provides fresh, high-quality, affordable food to the diverse members of North and Northeast Portland. We carry over 800 products produced by local businesses and farmers, with a focus on organic and socially responsible sources. We’re member owned and worker run.


Stumptown Printers logoDedicated to the printing arts, Stumptown Printers uses traditional offset lithographic and letterpress equipment to build paper goods that last. We specialize in developing custom paper-based packaging, cards, posters, and other distinctive work for your business and creative print needs. Established in 1999. Worker owned and operated.


The Vital Compass. Cooperatively owned Chinese medicine pharmacy + clinic. Treating patients and practitioners to the best herbs and acupuncture can provide. Portland, Oregon. Solidarity cooperative with worker-owners.


Blue Scorcher Bakery & Cafe. Strong community, organic food, joyful work. Astoria, Oregon. Worker-owned cooperative.


A Better Cycle. We are a worker owned and collectively run bicycle sales and repair shop in lovely South East Portland, Oregon. Come to us for full bike repair services, wheel building, and internal gear servicing.


Montavilla Food Cooperative is working to open a food co-op in East Portland for sustainable, local & healthy food options. Member owned and democratically run, Portland’s next co-op can open soon with your support!
